Compostable Corn Plastic
Natureworks™ Poly Lactic Acid (PLA), is a resin derived entirely from natural corn materials. PLA is 100% renewable through annual corn harvests and full compostable in municipal and industrial facilities. Using this material leads to reduced fossil fuel usage, cutting edge disposal options and decreased landfill contamination.
Products made from Compostable Corn Plastic will begin to break down at 150F and 90% humidity (ideal composting conditions). In approximately 50 days within those conditions, the product will be completely gone.
Bamboo Fabric
Bamboo is a natural renewable resource. Cellulose extracted from bamboo stalks grown on controlled farms is processed using a non-toxic distilling and pulping method, creating a round, smooth fiber which is spun into machine-washable and 100% biodegradable fabrics. Soft and comfortable, breathable for moisture management, anti-bacterial and hypoallergenic, bamboo is 3-4 times more absorbent than cotton and has natural thermo control qualities.
